How to cancel iCloud+
The short version: iCloud+ cancellations happen on its App Store subscriptions page — not buried in the app. This link takes you to the right place:
Cancel iCloud+ →Step by step
- iCloud+ is billed through Apple. Open the official App Store subscriptions page.
- Or on iPhone/iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Select iCloud+ and tap Cancel Subscription.
- You keep access until the end of the current billing period.
Good to know: iCloud+ is billed by Apple; manage/cancel under Apple ID subscriptions. On device: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or downgrade via Settings > iCloud > Manage Account Storage.
What you'll stop paying
iCloud+'s typical pricing starts at $0.99/mo (50 GB):
- 50 GB — $0.99/mo
- 200 GB — $2.99/mo
- 2 TB — $9.99/mo
You usually keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for — cancelling today doesn't cut you off today.
Before you cancel
- Check your renewal date first. Cancel a day before renewal and you lose nothing; forget and you're billed for another cycle.
- On a free trial? Cancel now — you keep the trial until it expires, and there's no surprise charge.
- Pause instead? Some services offer a pause or a cheaper tier at the cancel screen — worth a look if you're on the fence.
